They both are important. They are not mutually exclusive. Both friendship and love fulfill the basic human need to relate to other people and share the "human experience."

i think u need friendship to love.

love is friendship on fire.. everything starts small and grows into something deeper and more meaningful. a friend is someone who u can turn to when u need them, they're a phone call away, a shoulder to cry on, a person to talk to, a hand to hold.. a lover is the same, they're just there at every moment and the way you feel about them is so much deeper..

i dont think u can have love without friendship. a lover is your best friend.. you tell them things that you wouldnt normally tell other people, you can laugh about silly things that only they understand and u can cry about small things only they'll really comfort you.. a lover is definitely more intimate but they're still like a friend.. a very very very close one..

i think its important to keep that sense of friendship there and not lose it, love cant work on its own.. like a couple, its a two way thing.. love needs love and love needs friendship.. hahaha its hard to explain...

i sorta of think that sometimes friendship is stronger than love. people tend to risk losing their love to save a friendship but dont risk their friendship for love because friendship exists in love so if u lose the love, u really dont, because u still have the friendship.. if u risk friendship for love and you lose love.. friendship is gone. nada... and its hard to get back.. my boyfriend and i made a promise that if we ever ever ever (hopefully NEVER) breakup.. we'd still be friends.. if we didnt then it sort of feels like whatever we had as lovers really meant nothing because we can't even keep something as small and important as friendship alive.. =]

are u confused? har..

To be honest, I have found that i've been more hurt by failing friendships than ending love... I think love is more important... my boyfriend is my best friend... i know his love will never end... BUT friendships come and go...

both! trust me on this!
*love is important because you will spend the rest of your life with that special someone.
*friendship is important because you will always need your friends shoulder to cry on, a shopping buddy, and just another person to keep you sane.
