i shoplift frequently. sometimes i break and enter. I have assisted in several small robberies as the driver, and i feel very guilty. I dont know why i do it, i feel a rush of euphoria and adrenaline, i got to admit it feels good. I want to stop though, does anyone know a way?

If you are truly seeking help, you should seek help in the form of a therapist. Kleptomania is a serious problem and is quite common; do not be ashamed. This is something that can be controlled if you commit yourself to do so.

Go the local Police, admit what you done, take what every punishment that is imposed, be sure all the others involved get their due punishment also. If you are really serious, this should get rid of the guilt. Did the crime, served my time thing. This way, you might turn out to be a pretty descent person. This is better than getting caught in a robbery, shot and killed. Could happen .

Don't tell the authorities. In California, a robbery conviction means mandatory jail time and a strike. Go seek help from a psychologist. This problem is not uncommon and may be related to ADHD or substance dependency. Of course, only a psychologist can diagnose you and I'm not one. Good luck.

What are you, special? Did your mother teach you to steal? You are raising the price for everyone who earns their money. And when you get caught, nobody's gonna give a damn about your euphoria and adrenaline. Grow up. You want help growing up? Join the military. Or get a job. Ditch those loser friends. Be your own person. You can't be a person you like until you get to know yourself. Suck it up and help out. Look around. It's not all about you.

How would you feel if someone stole your car, or broke into your relatives home? You need to put your energy to better use that will not hurt people.
You did the crime now do the time, give back anything that is not yours. Brush yourselves off and start over again. Good luck to you. I think you have taken the first step already.

Keep adopting more self-destructive practices until society is finally rid of you. Have you given self-mutilation a try?
