To be honest with you, I think everyone really knows deep down that Jesus is real, and that there is a God. I think they try to concoct arguments for the sake of trying to be cool or different or stand out. When I was in high school, all of the self prolaimed "athiests" fit that exact stereotype. They are lost souls in denial of the truth.

The Bible says "Only the fool hath said in his heart there is no God."

Hello,
I was born Baptised and educated to my confirmation in the Cathulic faith, and I renew my baptismal promises every Easter Sunday the same as all other believing Catholics, and I am advised to inform you that you should believe in the one God, with our Lord Jesus Christ, in the Unity of the Holy Spirit, and I certainly do, couldn't go through my life without the Holy Trinity being close to me, and for that I offer up a great amen....Tony M

Hard to say, since the person of Jesus and his supposed words are lost forever in a mass of conjecture, mistranslated texts of other mistranslated texts, really weird interpretations of what he might have said, etc etc etc.

If there was a Jesus of Nazareth (and there is a considerable amount of question as to whether or not he actually existed) then I prefer to think of him in terms presented in the book The Gospel According to Jesus by Stephen Mitchell.

I believe that a man named Jesus was born and lived, then died.

As far as the biblical stories of Jesus Christ the Son of god. No I do not. That is a combination of past religions and story tellers. Mythical in nature. With no evidence of truth to the miracles, or the acts told in the bible.

Jesus is a historical fact, well documented with trustworthy evidence. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God, is God.

Do I believe that there was a historical figure who was a Jewish teacher who lived in Palestine 2000 years ago? ... well yes for it is probable.
Do I believe he was the son of God who performed miracles then later after his Crucifixion rose from the dead?... well no for that is impossible and illogical.
Do I believe that some of his teachings have survived in the Bible? well yes but only 20% of the proverbs can be traced to earlier writings, the remaining 80% was written by the later church fathers.
So do I believe that he was a good man who was seeking liberation from the Roman occupation and was a would-be reformer of Judaism?.....well yes but not in the same contexts as the Christian churches perceive him as a saviour who died for our sins but a Jewish martyr who died for a cause two thousand years ago.
I do admire his teachings although some are very ambiguous, in there meaning, but do I believe in Jesus as does a modern day Christian?....well my answer must be no.
Do I believe in him as a enlightened teacher, my the answer could be yes, just as I admire other teachers such as Gandi.
