I don't care what race or religious affiliation an individual is as long as they are qualified for the job and intend to do their best for the good of the country.

I wouldn't care anymore so than if it were a Jew, Muslim, Pagan, Catholic, or even Atheist.
The real question is if the person is a zealot or not.
I mean, how can you really judge someone based upon their religious affiliation?
Now if he uses his religious beliefs in his political decisions, then that is a problem.
Chances are, a Mormon Democrat (which there are some few) would be better than a Mormon Republican.

It will never happen. Extreme differences are polarizing and religion is a big enough polarizer anyway. Most non mormons view of mormonism isn't positive enough for them to vote for a mormon president. You couldn't openly be a satan worshipper and get elected but it doesn't mean you won't get a elected if you are a closet satan worshipper who claims christianity as your religion. Look at the present situation.

I think it is a good idea. Mormons are cool people. A Mormon president would be a person who knows what it is like to be an outsider and have doors slammed in his face. He would have to develop patience and devoton to his cause. He would be sober and clean living. He wouldn't take coffee breaks.

Ideally, and Constitutionally, one should not be concerned with such things. But Mormonism is so silly that one must have serious concerns about whether an adherent has the intellectual capacity to properly do the job.

Article 6 of the Constitution states that there shall be no religious test for holding any public office, etither at teh federal or any other level of govenment.
America is a country of religious freedom. Not everyone accepts that--but anyone who is a patriotic American does.

It would make me quite upset seeing as how I don't agree with Mormonism and it would completely divide and or change our country. This country is supposed to have separation of church and state.
I think I'd probably move as well.

We have survived with a Catholic, Quaker, Baptist, so what would be the problem with a Mormon. We always get the government we deserve anyway.

no biggie unless he/she makes NASA's top priority to find planet heaven--in all seriousness, it's the issues that matter to me and a mormon would probably lower taxes and eliminate the national debt
