Where was God before man, where did he hang out and for how long? If god created man what was he up to in between the birth of the universe and the first emergence of man?

I've pondered this one for a long long time, I want to believe the bible and all the cool religious ideas people have but nothing fits together for me, I believe in god but evidence of evolution tends to make everything people preach sound like it may have gotten all mixed up sometime along the way.

Time did not exist before God created the universe, so your first question lacks rigor because it is logically flawed.
After the creation of the universe, God created man. ALL of this took place in the space of six natural days. God's activities during these six days are well documented in the bible.

I think you're trying to give God anthropic attributes here. For a God that is either composed of or outside of time, the prospect of "hanging out for a few billion years" isn't that realistic. Think big. Think really big.

No one really knows the answer to that question. All I do know is that the angels existed long before man.

God and I are mates, he hangs with me almost all of his free time. We trip the light fantastic through all creation, just checking things out, making sure everything is going as it should.

umm....he was busy making all you see....as he built it all..including man, in 6 days.
Its clear you never picked up a Bible (basic instructions before leaving earth). Pick one up, open it up, and read the first book, Genesis...explains how it was all created.
