Im a Muslim and no Muslims are not offended by the year of the pig (Chinese year) - nor are we offended of people who eat pigs. As for the person who said our book calls for the killing of non-muslims or infidels as he called it - that as well is not noted in the Quran anywhere. Pitty some people believe cliche/sterotype tv pics and propaganda. Come to the middle east and see how well your treated here. And how our governments wipe out and jails these Islamic fanatcis you see on tv at least in Kuwait.

There's a good chance that she's totally unaware of your feelings. But then again, why should a cartoon drawing of a pig be offensive to muslims? Question yourself, don't just give a blunt answer that eating pork is haram. You can't eat a t-shirt. Do you watch the cartoon Babe? Should Three Little Pigs, the fairy tale be haram too? How about a t-shirt with a beer mug print? Do you know that consumming alcohol is an islamic sin greater than pork-eating? Some of the islamic concepts invented by Malaysians (such as abhoring the image of a pig, not eating meals cooked in clean pots which have contacted pork in their remote past) are really embarassing to other muslim people, even the to the Saudis. They make Islam look so stupid. Don't forget that the poor little pigs are also god's creatures, created by god. They scavenge and eat everything which earned them the bad reputation of being unclean, but why should they be made a symbol of hate just because you're not supposed to eat it? I think your prophet would be ashamed to find out how his teaching have been distorted by you guys.

My husband is Muslim. He really does not care about the Chinese Year of the Pig. That it their thing, not his. To each their own.

im proud to be a muslim, what would you say if someone saw a guy kill someone and he happens to be christian or a hindu or buddist or whatever and the next day the local news channel splashes the news "christian/hindu/buddhist terrorist goes on killing rampage"
dont magnify things man!

oh yeah and to clear things up,muslims are not offended by the year of the pig,why the hell would they? thats just weird

I'm quite sure, if it's not related to Islam, they will be offended. One must understand that Muslims believe that non-Muslims are "infidels", and their Qu'ran calls for the killing of "unbelievers". So you can pretty much guess where they stand on this issue.

And why would we?

And again for this man, Qur'an NEVER said to kill (infidels) as u called them,

if u don't understand something in Qur'an, better ask instead of spreading tv crap....
