Does anyone know anyone who has broken up and gotten back together and it worked the second time? I'm not sure if i believe this is possible...

Only one couple. They got back together because she found out she was pregnant after the breakup. Now they are married and have three kids . . .but he certainly felt trapped at first. We'll see if they last.

A lot of times it depends on the breakup. Was it something trivial and shallow, like an argument that both people just got overheated in? Or was it something severe, like one cheating on the other? If it's something where both people can admit they overreacted or were irrational, a second attempt isn't doomed.
I've got an aunt and uncle who were married, divorced, remarried, and have been happy for 25 years. I also know a couple that dated in college, broke up, met up years later, and have been married for 10 years. It's all about how the breakup happened.

It is possible, but only under ideal circumstances... If the issues were fixable... I firmly believe...once a cheater, always a cheater...but in other circumstances...YES!! If the issues can be resolved mutually, and there hasn't been any trust broken, then I fully believe that things can be worked out. but the cost is sometimes high. they both really have to want it. every relationship takes a certain ammount of work. they both have to bee willing to put in the effort...

I have 2 different uncles that went and ended the marriage, after a year or so got back together with their ex, both have been remarried more then 20 years ago.

It has happened to me and the relationship between me and my girldfriend is going really well now. We broke up and I was asking myself the same question you are asking. And it happened for me. We got back together and it is working well. Good luck to you!
