Promise rings are usually diamonds, and a lot of them have the three stones (which stands for today, tomorrow, and forever) But there are also a lot of different styles. Engagement rings are more elegant, more expensive, and the styles can go on and on, again, usually a diamond is the centerpeice. Wedding rings are usually just bands or wraps that enhance the engagement ring.

a wedding ring is usually a band of gold, without a stone.
an engagement ring is usually a band with usually a diamond or some other stone.
and a promise ring or a regular gift ring can look like anything, just as long as the meaning is conveyed.

between a promise ring and a engagement ring, normally there is not. but a wedding ring is normally just a band. a gift ring can be any type of ring. but really in this day and age you can make a ring mean what you want it to be. i hope that this helped

regular ring can look like anything, usually something with color.
Promise ring is a matter of opinion but I guess the popular choice is a diamond
Engagement is a simple band with a good sized diamond that stands up striaght in the ring setting
wedding is usually a band with diamonds in it to attach to the engagement ring to make one piece

a wedding ring is a band with no stones, engagement ring is a diamond and a promise ring has a stone that is anything but a diamond. a diamond implies engagement.

Why, which one are you planning on buying?

A wedding "ring" typically is actually a wedding "band" (no stone, just metal).

An engagement ring is typically a diamond ring.

A promise ring is whatever the ***** you designate it to be.
