Did you know that over half of greenhouse gases produced each year come from "green" sources such as cows? Agriculture is the largest single producer of greenhouse gases in the world. Interestingly enough the amount of ruminants has not really increased historically. The number of cows in North America today are roughly equivalent to historical estimations of buffalo populations previous to our inhabitance.

If you really feel the need to make a difference. Recycle, don't promote overproduction of plastic, support nuclear power, and don't waste paper.

If you really want to help the environment, then choose a career of research in science and technology -- aimed towards development of ecofriendly technologies -- which not only cause marriage of ecology and economy but also takes humanity and human knowledge to new heights.

Turn off your computers for good along with your TV and your IPOD and video games. Also stop using cell phones and walk instead of riding in cars.
