Your soul is the inner you - your inner consciousness arising from the merging of your spirit and body. If you are a man, you have the soul of a man. If you are a woman, you have the soul of a woman.
I marvel that this seems to be such a difficult concept for so many on this website.
People speak of the heart in this fashion without any difficulty. If I told you someone broke my heart, you wouldn't refer me to a cardiologist. The soul refers to the inner "you", particularly as contemplated from a subjective point of view. It is the "I want", "I think", "I feel" "I am thirsty" - your consciousness of these things within you.

My belief is that we don't have an eternal soul in the sense that it lives on without a body. The Bible states that after the second coming, the dead will rise and be given a new body (I'd try to find the verse for that, but I have to go to bed. =\ It's in Revelation I 'think'). The new body will be like our old one, but waaay better. It will be perfect, and angelic. Whether this means we have actual different sexual organs or not, no one truely knows. I'd like to think we will be the same sex we were before, since the Bible doesn't say otherwise.

The soul is made up of our body and the breath of life. There is no soul without both together.

Blessings and Love.
Sarah

The soul is the person or the life they live. In the first case, it would depend on if the person was male or female. In the second case, it would have no gender.

both. Male and female complement each other perfectly. There were designed for each other. Half and half make a whole. If you are of the Christian faith then you will find the Bible says that when we marry, the man and the woman become one. (I'm not saying they share a soul)

Souls have no gender. When you pass on (and I hope its after a long and happy life) your soul will enter another body. Perhaps it will be the same sex as you or the other.

Well, angels may not have gender, but whatever you are born as, male or female, that's what you'll be when you stand before God.

No gender. You're overthinking it. It's not an animal or a human, no gender needed.

which religion do you prefer? I'd prefer to keep different sex souls so we can still get it on in heaven.
