Cheapest Place To Buy Luggage

Since it sounds like you won't be using the luggage much, I would check out a few of your local second hand stores or a church rummage sale.

I picked up an as new bag with wheels (large, like a duffle bag) for $10 a month or so ago. I've travelled the world and found that if I made a mistake and didn't bring a big enough suitcase, it was easiest to travel light first, then purchase a used one when I reached my destination. I would often do the same things with heavy coats or gloves. I'd purchase them where they were more likely to be what was needed for the place I was in, then would either re-donate them before I left or in the case of luggage, donated it when I got home. I'm all for re-cycling and not buying new when used will do fine.

If you MUST buy new, check out Big Lots if you have one in your area.

The cheapest I found were at Wal-Mart for $39 (29" is the biggest they carry now). And they do come with wheels. They also have more expensive and better quality ones, but of course, those cost more.

I must tell you though that yo get what you pay for as they only lasted me a few trips (granted I fly halfway around the world and make a stop in Europe).

I found a really great deal at Dillards on a 32" Kenneth Cole that was on sale for $69 (down from a hundred and something) and it has lasted me 3 years now and is still good.
