I don't think too much chocolate is bad.. but the sugar isn't good for her. And, chocolate milk is pretty filling. She may not have as much appetite to eat more nutrient/vitamin filled foods.
Try to continue giving her milk--use something like Ovaltine which adds some vitamins to the mix, and don't put as much as the directions say. If you need to, slowly decrease the amount of chocolate you put in.
And she should learn to drink water. It is very important. If she doesn't learn to like it now, she probably won't want it when she is older and can make the choice herself. She'll more likely choose soda. Drink water around her. My son always wanted what I had. And, you can always limit the chocolate milk to meal time.

Yes, of course too much chocolate is bad! So is too much milk, for that matter. Two year olds should be eating and drinking a variety of things, and IME if they are sucking down the milk (choc., strawberry, or plain), then the milk is taking the place of other foods the child should be eating.
Does your dd go back and forth between constipation and loose stools? Is her weight gain too low, or too high? Is she prone to rashes? Excessive dairy consumption can cause a multitude of minor, but still bothersome, health problems. Not to mention, she could eventually develop a sensitivity or allergy to dairy and/or chocolate due to overexposure.
There's another problem here, though. If you can't say no and set limits for your 2 y/o on this small issue, how do you plan to discipline her later when it's really important?
If want to try and enlist her cooperation rather than impose it upon her, you could simply stop buying the chocolate milk, and when she asks for it, take her around the kitchen/pantry and show her that it's all gone. The yummy chocolate is gone, and even though that's sad, here are some new yummy choices and a special new cup to drink them in. Kind of like the same way some parents get rid of the bottle. ;)

True chocolate isn't the best, but at least your getting her to drink milk. It's kind of like that question of "what's better for a child: a donut for breakfast or no breakfast at all?" the answer is the donut. Phasing out the chocolate and introducing other options would be better, but I understand how picky kids can be w/ things they like. If your truly worried, ask your pediatrician.

Yes, the chocolate can be bad for her. I know how hard it is to get toddlers to drink water though. Try this.... in either water or milk, put a few drops of food color in it and tell her it's something special. Maybe keep her out of the room when you do this and bring it to her as a "special surprise drink"! The color itself should do the trick!

Yup! Chocolate cause hyperactivity. You can give her fruit juices or just milk as an alternate drink. This may be tough for you cause for sure she will insist her chocolate. Better make her chocolate drink a prize for a good thing done while introducing another drink.

At two, give them whatever they will eat & drink!
If you are concerned, then buy plain milk and chocolate mix. Slowly wean her off the chocolate by adding a bit less every few days.
Best of luck to you!

yeah. I never offered my kid anything but water after 1 1/2 years old. Water is the best drink and I wanted her to get a taste for it. Too many families drink juice and milk only

My 3-yo daughter hates milk & won't drink it unless it is chocolate (or strawberry) milk. Our pediatrician said it's okay for her (she's kinda tall & skinny) - whatever it takes to get her to drink milk. If your child won't drink milk, at least try to get them to eat cheese or yougurt or drink a calcium-fortified juice. My daughter loves juice - too much, actually. I found that flavored water is great too, if you just want them to drink some water, but they want something with a sweeter taste

yes is is bad to give it all the time. You might have to make her go cold turkey for a period of time. She is going to demand it and refuse other drinks but you need to persevere. Plain milk, water and very watered down juices are better. Her teeth and your purse will thank you in the long run.

You shouldn't have ever given her chocolate milk so young! They get a taste for it and yeah- that's all they want.
Stop giving it to her.
