If you are a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, do you fully obey the Celestial Law talked about in D&C 88:22? (See also "Celestial Law" in the book Mormon Doctrine by Bruce R. Mcconkie.)

Thank you,

Jeff

I am not a Mormon, so if I do anything, it is because it is in the Bible. If it is in the Book of Mormon, that is merely a coincidence.

22 "For he who is not able to abide the law of a celestial kingdom cannot abide a celestial glory."
When you look at the "law" description in the topical guide, it suggest to see "Celestial Glory"

Basically what these scriptures are talking about is that if a man cannot live a certain way on earth, then how could he ever expect to live that way in one of the Kingdoms?
We don't live 100% by "Celestial Law" partly because we are not in the Celestial Kingdom right now...this earth is compared to the Telestial Kingdom, the lowest.
This is in part why we make covenants and certain promises, obviously if we cannot keep those covenants and promises here on earth, there is no reason to expect that we can in the next life. This life is a test.

No. I'm willing to bet that members of any faith will admit they aren't living their beliefs in exactness. In order to live the "Celestial Law" you must be near perfection in living the basic doctrines of your faith and those less basic, which I'm not. From what I know, the apostles and prophet do live this law.

The Pearl of great Price, Book of Mormon, Bible, and D&C all need to be taken as a whole. The Words of Wisdom" are not fully found in one place but in all and in none. You have to read between the lines with your heart and reflect with Him. Each one of us has this responsibility.
