An anesthesiologist makes a TON of money so you can just hire a housekeeper to take care of most of that for you. Plus, you will have a schedule and only be on call once in a while so it will be alright to balance with family. Kudos to you for setting a great goal.

That's a great goal. I'd say, hold off on children if you plan to work those hours, or take a leave of absence (more then the maternity) once your baby is born, and marry a man, who would love to be a stay at home dad. Always have a parent at home with the child.
I think it's wonderful your thinking things through now, rather then later,
Good Luck

Anesthesiologists have children too and they do end up managing the rest of their lives as well. So chill!

Working parents do it all the time and guess what? Their kids are just fine. A good career like the one you have in mind will be an awesome role model for your family and an inspiration for your own children. Go for it!

Here's my honest opinion: Pick one, and do it well.
I'm 54, and have experience in life, and I tell you that if you try to do both, you'll wind up favoring one over the other...and, that's not fair to either children or patients.
Pick one.

Trust me when you become a mother you will always find a way. We women tend to be multitasks and you will handle it well.
