I have a mole the size of a penny on my cheek and it is very bothering, not only because of how it looks but when i shave it burns. I have some questions like is this big mole going to leave a big scar. Should i go to a dermatologist or a plastic sergeon, also i don't have insurance so how much will it cost.

Please help i need to remove this mole.

If you want to minimize the scar, since it is on the face, please see a plastic surgeon. There should not be a big scar (depends on your meaning of big) but anytime there is surgery, there is a scar. When it is on the face, a plastic surgeon tried to do the scar so it blends with a natural line or fold in the face so that is is less noticeable plus he will use a much finer suture material.

As to cost, there is no way to guess this. It will depend on so many things...size of mole, state you live in, surgeon's fees, whether or not you have it done in his office or in the hospital as an outpatient, etc. Best thing to do would be to have a consult and ask. The doctor will be able to give you an estimate after seeing your mole. You can decide then whether or not you can afford to do it. Also, check as he may let you pay it in a few payments instead of just one lump sum. Usually, this can be done in the office and is not super expensive (anywhere from $150 to $500 without insurance but, as I said, it varies due to other factors).

Skin moles are growths that can manifest anyplace. Moles may be eliminated using surgery, or even by using numerous home remedies or products.

Surgical procedure is high-priced, costing from about $100-$450 and it may produce skin damage. Homemade remedies happen to be low-cost and even could eliminate moles in only a couple of days with no scar problems.

Home remedies include garlic, cumin seeds, or even grapefruit seed extract used for a short time.
