women's hairstyle that is long with waves or curls with three thin head bands you might have seen in the movie gladiator or series rome. I would like something like that for my wedding hair do. Please help!

It's called an Empress Coifure. But the best thing to do is draw it out or take a picture with you go in to have it done...they'll probably call it an updo. If you have a specific idea of how you would like the bands to be you should try to obtain them or make them yourself and give them to your stylist. Some people go twice, once as a practice and then for the actual when it's a really important event .... like a wedding.

You might want to use fabrics, velvet or use plastic headbands and have them covered in a silk fabric to match your dress.

I have no idea what it's called... but you could always easily get a pic of that Gladiator scene on the internet, print it out and show it to your hairdresser. I'm sure she'd have no problem re-creating the look for you. Good luck!

one of my all time fav magazines is Sophisticates Hairstyle mag.
whenever i go get my hair done, i take the picture of the hair that i want, and they do it all for you.. dont worry about getting the "name" stylists wont know the names.. pictures are the best to have with you.

spiral waves ,cork screw waves .Take a picture in with you and show a stylist.
