This is the first time I'm going to dye my hair, so I decided to test try with Herbal Essence Colorflirt (Semi-Permanent). It says that it will wash out in 8-12 washes. But what I want to know is, can I still condition my hair? or will that make it wash out faster?

conditioning your hair will make it last longer, actually. try to buy a shampoo & conditioner for your hair color, that you are dying it to, i mean.

Conditioning when coloring is an absolute must. Not only does it make your color last longer, but it also helps your hair recover from any damage that may have occured while coloring. I particularly like Pantene ProV's Color Revival line. You can check it out here.

Hot oil treatments like VO5's Hot Oil Hair Treatment are also great conditioners, but use sparingly if your hair tends to be oily. You can check it out here.

Keep in mind that coloring your hair, even when using semi- permanent dye, will dry your hair out. So condition away girl and enjoy your new color!

Yes, condition your hair. It will keep your hair healthy and help the color last longer. They have shampoos and conditioners that help keep your color longer, like Pantene.
