gray or silver. If it is deep red then you don't want to go too dark with any color. I don't see any other choice unless it is a bright red. Don't rule out white. You need some in the room (furniture- whatever) to keep it from being too dark. Animal prints go well with deep red, but not bright red--cheesy.

try: grey, silver, metallic anything, pink
avoid: yellow, more black, blue (doesnt go with red in a room)
Also, a good idea that I did in my room is to get one wall and paint it black chalkboard paint color. Then get colorful chalk, it will be easier to incorporate other colors
If you really want to get crazy, if you mean accessories by furniture, grab a lot of spray paint or just regular paint and redo it

Gray and silver both go well. Blue if dark and bold may go well too. brushed steel for art work would look very good as well.
