thats fine if you want to be on your own, but tell at least one person you trust. Your family prov might freak and call the cops and next thing you know we will see you on CNN.

Follow your heart.
If moving out of state is what you want....then do it.
You are beginning your life and the steps you take will
follow you forever.
Would I not tell anyone....no. Maybe its a respect thing....in return would I want someone to do this to me.
Starting fresh and making a life for yourself doesn't me you have to leave your past behind.
I don't know anything about your family, however what I do know is that it wont hurt to keep in contact; a letter now and then or a simple phone call once a month.....
I myself couldn't live with myself for cutting off all strings.....I again would have to think....would I want to be treated this way.
Best wishes on your new journey.....may it lead to all sorts of happiness!

Go for it. I did the samething right out of college. Moved away from home, told my parents where I was, but that was it. I found a better life and never plan on moving back to my home town.

I did and no one knew where I was for 15 years. Best move I ever made. I didn't have any support system when I left, but I didn't have one before I left either, which is what prompted the move.

You don't have to tell anyone if you don't want to. You have finished college. You are an adult now. Starting your own career and being on your own. Call your Mom and tell her you are OK. Thats it. I wish I could disappear. My life is a mess. After you do it maybe you can come back and tell us how!!!

I thought about it. I did tell my mom if I just up and took off that I'd be on a mountain somewhere and not to worry. I didn't want a bunch of people out looking for me.
