Ok, lets say your dad has a sister. Your dad has you and his sister has a daughter (mary) you and mary are 1st cousins because you share grandparents . If you have a kid and your aunts daughter, your 1st cousin mary each have a kid the kids will be SECOND cousins. Get it?
