Some intelligent and not so intelligent answers, Toyota is going to be good for Nascar. Look at all the interest it has already generated, just from being in the series and they have not even ran a real race yet. They make the car here in the states so its good. Last year the ratings dropped, and this is the shot in the arm Nascar needed to keep the ratings up. Toyota will make the other manufacturers work a little harder, because Toyota will invest heavily in their teams to win, and they will win races this year and probably the championship next year.

It is a natural progression. Toyota has been involved with the NASCAR truck series for quite a while. So actually they are not new to NASCAR at all. They are just adding cars to go along with their success that their trucks are accomplishing.

No, Namely because they don't have a engine to use and have to use our technology. Nascar engines are based on 25 year old technology, ohv, carbs and distributors. Toyota never had one or even a V8 25 years ago.
Tell me where is there distributor, front or back of the engine, I think it's in the back and that would make it a Chevy based engine, but they are very careful not to show you many pictures of their engines
If they ever do start winning, Chev will have grounds for a suit against them for stealing their technology

I think so, because it needs a shot in rthe arm. NASCAR has made the sport so saccarin the drivers can't have any emotion anymore, it's boring. It needed some type ofrivalry, with out it being drivers.

Auto racing is the proving ground for the auto industry. It's where they get all their best ideas for technological improvements. All auto manufacturers ought to be involved.

Hell yes. Maybe it will help put GM and Ford out of business, thus drastically reducing the number of crappy vehicles on the roads.
