Not at all. They are entirely different things.
Religion is an organized or institutionalized way for individuals to express their spirituality as a group. A superstition is a behavior that is reinforced by a coincidental event such that the event becomes associated with the behavior in a causative way...such as weating the same pair of socks because your team always seems to win when you wear them.
Superstitions can be found in all things we do, from avoiding walking under ladders to some practices in a religion that may seem like superstition to the uninformed.

religion is a joke. It's all about a "book" that people have changed so many times, I'm surprised they can keep their story , I guess you'd say straight. It's controlled by people with power and $$$. Just like we are by the Government! Kinda makes you wonder? It's documented that Schwarzenegger's Grandfather funded Adolph Hitler. This is a fact I learned here on Answers. It's pretty pathetic to think people give their whole lives to believing that these holier than thou types or Priest's they are so "pure" . Then what the hell are we teaching our children? It's ok to molest innocent children of the same sex because? Because, my religion will protect me. What about the children who's lives are ruined? AND, doesn't that make MR. P a homosexual? Isn't that forbidden? Please. And, where's Mr. Adam and Miss. Eve of the black race? Who was there to say they were even white? And furthermore, If we can send a man to the moon, found a cure for polio, and can make a woman a man and a man a woman, then why can't we get the secret from Mary on How to become pregnant, AND STILL BE A VIRGIN? That felt good! no disrespect to ANYONE. If they can come and knock on my door then I shalt be granted Answers, to voicith my oppinion.

All religious concepts are merely opinions unless science or history can shed some light on it. But the general beliefs in God and rendering service and worship to him are more relationships than any form of superstition.

Absolutely.
Wikipedia defines superstition as: the irrational belief that future events are influenced by specific behaviors, without having a causal relationship.
Religion believes that actions such as prayer or faith can influence future events. This belief is not based on rational reason but on faith. There is also not a causal relationship (i.e. a natural chain of events) between the action and the result.
Superstition, pure and simple.

no....
When YOU were younger and found out that BIG BIRD and BARNEY and yes... the Easter bunny and santa were NOT real...
just people in CoStUmEs....
It BROKE YOUR HEART~
'cause mommy and daddy lied to you. Causing SooOOOoooo much pain and damage to your brain...that YOU vowed to NEVER ever "fall for believing in anything again". Soo YOU developed anger issues and trust issues... blaming everyone else on YOUR bad mood and antagonizing behavior.
Alas...
if only mom and dad had TAUGHT you better...
They should have taught you this:
Mom and Dad should have said....."No matter what you learn as you grow older... about fairy tails and favorite characters... YES , there is a MAKE believe world~
However ~
Jesus and God ARE real. "& "Jesus Loves You" & "For God so Loved the world that HE gave his ONLY begotten SON, so that whoever believes in HIM , shall have everlasting LIFE and shall not perish" & "Better to live a life time suffering as a Christian THAN an EtErNiTy in darkness and alone"
