Inspiried by the common, almost cliche-like question, "What is the meaning of life?", I ask this similiar, yet distinct one of my own.

Death is your body's way of telling you to slow down.

Death is seperation from the body physically. But you do still have a spirit body---Life is Jesus Christ and death is Lucifer, Satan or the Devil.
Jesus did promise if you believe in him you will not see death; John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. 25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

there will come a time in history where people will not be able to die; Revelation 9:6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

Now so you understand the spirit bodies have to die a second time in the lake of fire;Revelation 2:11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

The Christian meaning of death is revealed in the light of the Paschal mystery of the death and resurrection of Christ in whom resides our only hope. The Christian who dies in Christ Jesus is "away from the body and at home with the Lord."

For the Christian the day of death inaugurates, at the end of his sacramental life, the fulfillment of his new birth begun at Baptism, the definitive "conformity" to "the image of the Son" conferred by the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and participation in the feast of the Kingdom which was anticipated in the Eucharist—even if final purifications are still necessary for him in order to be clothed with the nuptial garment.

Peace and every blessing!

You could also refer to death as another birth. When we were born into this world, but we experienced a spritual death in the sense that we were separated from and have no memory of our premortal life. Our earthly "death" is just another step on our path through our eternal progression. Maybe those who have already passed away see those who will pass from this life as being born again when we enter into that realm.

The meaning of death is life. It is how you live that gives your death meaning. Once you are born you start your death.

Death means it's the end of walking cha-cha around on this planet. Cha-cha cha-cha-cha - the end. eh? We should know where we're going in terms of heaven or hell though and you can know now for sure. It's not an iffy thing like some think. There is a judgment coming for everyone whether we believe it or not.
