how do you use chop sticks?

1. Place the first chopstick in the hollow between thumb and index finger and rest its lower end below the first joint of the third finger. This chopstick remains stationary.

2. Hold the other chopstick between the tips of the index and middle fingers, steady its upper half against the base of the index finger, and use the tips of the thumb to keep it in place.


3. To pick up things, move the upper chopstick with index and middle fingers.

4. After a little practice, you will be able to use chopsticks like an expert.

Go to one of those fast food chinese places and get chopsticks the paper theyre in usually has directions on it. Or go to noodles and company and just get the kiddie things to put on the chopsticks, so that you dont even have to try. Its too hard to explain without showing at the same time.

I believe there's two ways into using chopsticks.
My bf uses it the harder more technical way since he's been using them forever. (it takes quite a while to use chopsticks the traditional way)
But i tend to use it the simple way. It's a lot easier especially for people who have never used them, plus you'll learn A LOT faster :D.
