Visiting a dermatologist would surely help. Also, apply a paste made of sandalwood powder and rose water on your face.. as often as possible.. this will remove acne as well as the marks.

Allternatively, I would also suggest Garnier Pimple Control Pen.. I use it and it works wonder for me.. And no, I do not work for Garnier!!

Nobody said it, so I will. Outer is based on inner.

Your diet plays a role that shouldn't be ignored. #1-Drink enough water. Cut out fried foods for awhile. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Raisen Bran or a high fiber cereal in the AM and a light meal at night like soup. If you have a big meal at night or worse, eat pizza, (avoid cheese at night) it doesn't digest well and the system just can't handle it. So, the 2nd largest eliminator, the skin,is overworked and the pores get clogged.

Just another suggestion on where to put your attention.

Think about it, it's common sense, if a plant doesn't look well, the first choice would be to water the root, rather than polishing the leaves.

Also, try getting to sleep by 10 PM for a week. You'll see a difference and may want to make it a regular practicel

Laser surgery has been in use for some time to reduce the scars left behind by acne, but research is now being done on lasers for prevention of acne formation itself. The laser is used to produce one of the following effects:

to burn away the follicle sac from which the hair grows
to burn away the sebaceous gland which produces the oil
to induce formation of oxygen in the bacteria, killing them
Since lasers and intense pulsed light sources cause thermal damage to the skin there are concerns that laser or intense pulsed light treatments for acne will induce hyperpigmented macules (spots) or cause long term dryness of the skin. As of 2005, this is still mostly at the stage of medical research rather than established treatment.

Because acne appears to have a significant hereditary link, there is some expectation that cheap whole-genome DNA sequencing may help isolate the body mechanisms involved in acne more precisely, possibly leading to a more satisfactory treatment. (Crudely put, take the DNA of large samples of people with significant acne and of people without, and let a computer search for statistically strong differences in genes between the two groups). However, as of 2005 DNA sequencing is not yet cheap and all this may still be decades off. It is also possible that gene therapy could be used to alter the skin's DNA.

Phage therapy has been proposed to kill P. acnes, and has seen some use, particularly in Georgia

Just because you have acne does not mean that you are ugly and does not mean that others will think this too.
Therefore don't let it affect or knock your confidence in yourself and your own abilities by too great a margin.
Also be sure to treat the acne rather than just wish it away: there are many creams out there that can help overcome the acne.
Fight it, don't worry about it and certainly don't let it stop you going out because you are embarrassed about your looks.

a cheap way. I"m not sure if it will work but its worth a shot. well on the tyra show there was a beauty consultant and she said to make a paste which consist of tylonol
well what you do is crush up the tablet and make a paste which water and apply to the acne, and just wait to see if it will work, tylonol is supposed to have some salacilic acid in it which most acne fighting cleansers have.
its worth a shot.

Eat less of chocolates . Do not use a very heavy moisturiser. Use a soap which is suitable for acne or oily skin -do not use soaps which contain lot of glycerin in it or use a good face wash . we take steam inhalation when we have cold so you can take that on your face and when it seems wet you can rub it. Try to use natural methods .

I prefer Acne Free to Proactive. It works better for me, it's cheaper than Proactive and you can pick it up at Wal-mart.
Just be sure to keep a routine of using the products, don't pick at the pimples, and try not to touch your face.
