Jack has won 18 majors, and Eldrick 12( in 46 major starts (did not play twice and cut twice), but Jack also finished second in 15 I believe ,meaning he was in the running for quite a few more compared to Tigers 2 seconds...that being said, not quite sure we have seen the best Tiger has to offer yet (a scary thought) as he has re engineered his swing twice now (remember he had the knee surgery) and most experts say he doesn't yet 'own' (still working on technique rather than feel) his swing ( after which the great players have improved again)...I would say we could look forward to Tiger winning somewhere between 20 and 25 majors and playing at a high level into his 40s

Good questions - but tough to answer.
Everyone likes to compare tiger and jack, both started playing professionally around the same age, and by the time they were 30 each were considered one of the greatest golfers in history...but I don't think it's that simple. Tiger has now won about 1/3 more majors than Jack... impressive...so given that jack won 15 majors (?) overall - then tiger should win close to 20 during his time.
HOWEVER, Tiger is hot or cold... he either winning, or he's half way down the pack and out of the race. And I don't know if you can drop yourself out of the running that many times and still continue to win.
Consider a few stats...Tigers played in about 45 majors so far, of which he's placed in the top ten about 55% of the time and top 3 at 35%, Jack on the other hand - during his first 45 majors he placed in the top ten just under 75% of the time, and top 3 about 60%. So Jack is getting into the running about twice as often as tiger!
Also, Tigers strong point is that he's got distance...and one of the most beautiful long drive - so he shaves off a lot of points in his long game, this isn't to say tiger can't play the short game...he makes a lot of long putts, and hard shots...but this is when your mental game comes in, and I think this is what gets him in trouble and keeps him out of the running...And as he ages, his drives become shorter, and he has to rely on the mental aspects of the game to compete against the young up and comers...makes me wonder if he'll be able to keep up!
So I'm going to say 18 majors, enough to pass Jack hands down - but. I don’t know that he’ll do much after that.
