Doesn't it say in numerous holy texts that it is fine to take multiple wives? And what does Atheism have to do with this? Most Atheists are either unmarried or will remain monogamous if they are...
btw, if you're referring to evolution, evolution has never said we come from monkeys. That is a misconception.

Atheists are generally rational, sensible people and would not be likely to have much interest in marrying monkeys. The idea would probably strike them as very bizarre, and they would conclude it must have arisen in a religious mind.

No, thats a pretty dumb way of trying to get at an atheist. I bet if you could you would. Of course all laws have to be followed by any resident of a country.
