There are a lot of Signs that are to be fullfilled before that event, so don't let it bother you too much!
Islam generally holds that after a series of false prophets, an individual known as al-Mahdi (“the guided one”) will appear to unify Muslims, lead them to victory over their enemies, and establish an era of justice.
Following al-Mahdi, a one-eyed Antichrist (al-Masih ad-Dajjal, the “imposter messiah”) will emerge. Misguided Muslims will embrace him, leading to a final battle between good (those who follow al-Mahdi) and evil (those aligned with the Antichrist). The battle will end with the appearance of Jesus, who will strike down the Antichrist and convert all Jews and Christians to Islam.
Yet another battle will then take place between Muslims and the forces of Yajuj and Majuj (the Bible’s Gog and Magog), who will be defeated after Jesus prays to God for assistance. There will follow another period of mass rejection of God’s will, signaling the end of the physical universe and finally the Day of Judgment.
Islam believes that the Day of Judgment, also known as the Hour, is when all humans who have ever lived will stand before God and be judged worthy of eternal reward in Heaven or eternal damnation in Hell (Surah 39:60-75).
As with Christian eschatology, all events leading to the Day of Judgment will take place in the Middle East, but just when they will occur is unknown.
None of these has come to pass, yet!
All the best!
Cheers!

Wow, I'm surprised that it's not cold in Ohio this year. I'm in West Virginia, and we are having a very cold winter here. Temperatures have been in the single digits, and we've had quite a bit of snow.
In fact, RIGHT NOW I hear the guy from the city with his truck clearing off our road! how ironic!
Oh anyway, I think that if we look at it in some ways, we can see that things are getting worse. But we can also look at it in a more positive way. For example, there is more equality in our world today, and slavery is not as common. People are gaining more respect for each others' religions, I think. So, I think we can see at least some positive changes going on.
As for the end of the world, I think only God knows.

I as a Catholic was taught that the end of the world would come about when no one expects it. It would be a time when the entire world would be caught of guard. Therefore, I believe when ever someone picks a certain day to believe the world will end it ultimately will not.
I do believe that the world is coming to an end. I am just not so sure when that is. I have been told by theologians that many of the plagues mentioned in the bible (specifically the book of Revelations) that were to come about before the end of the world, are in reality coming true. Such of these plagues do include such things as Aids.
I was also told as a child that God had promised to never destroy the world in water again, but next time it would be in fire.
With North Korea possessing nuclear power (whether they decided to disarm or not they still posses several missiles), and really everyone and their mother possessing nuclear weapons these days… I believe that man himself will destroy the world this time around (in fire as God predicts).
My theory obviously could be looked at as coincidental, or simply foolishness, but that’s just what works for me.
You or I can not predict when the world will end. All we can do is to wait and prepare for it the best we can. By living the lives we believe to be right.
God Bless.

Keep in mind that if this were the case, the world would have already ended for people in the southern hemisphere. December is warm there, but June is cold. Their seasons are flipped from ours on the northern hemisphere.
Don't worry if the world will end. If you're a good Muslim & follow the Koran, then Allah will guide you.

nicely, for Muslims prediction and fortune teller isn't a robust element whether a number of them got here actual---we ought to consistently no longer pay interest to it or use it-------on the subject of the top of situations --its some what on the threshold of the christian one ---yet without the dramatic result and all this fiction------ certainly we've self assurance in small warning signs and massive warning signs -----the small warning signs like volcano's -earthquakes --no ethical values---etc----and massive warning signs like wars and greater however the main severe area or difference is that would desire to take a hundred or 4 hundred or maybe yet another one thousand years----we don't think of like the Christians that it relatively is with in 50 years ---i advise they been saying this through fact the 1800------- we've self assurance that Jesus will come lower back to earth to combat the fake Messiah and lead the Muslim military to defeat the fake Messiah ---

I wouldn't get too freaked out. Every generation of people has seen signs that they are living in the end times and the world is about to be destroyed (All the way back to Jesus day).

That's interesting I didn't know Muslims believed that. Thanks for sharing. We've had quite a cold, miserable winter up north in northern Alberta, Canada. So be encouraged we've had lots of snow and cold temperatures!

Nothing to worry about. Winter is still cold enough in this part of the continent.

dont worry about it. just live your life within the rules of your religion and let your god figure the rest out.
every religion has an appocylapyse story, it will all come to pass in due time. and there is nothing that you can do about it except be spiritualy prepaired when it does happen.

Hmn. It is odd. I didn't know that, though. Could you quote the passage in the Koran with that?
By the way, the Mayans said it ends in 2012.
Norse said it ends after three extremely cold winters.
Just something to think about. ^_^
