(sigh) hasn't this question been answered to death?

Humans do what they do. God doesn't control them (I don't even believe in god, and I know this!)

Your point relies on calling the United States a Christian nation, which it is obviously not. We as a nation have left the idea of following God in the wayside, and for the most part worship money as our God. In the end the consequences will be severe, but God desires submission by free will. The fact is we live in a society that believes do whatever you want when ever you want, and the joy that is felt in our instant gratification society will be a poor trade when we face our God in judgment. One day every knee will bow and be forced to admit to the lordship of God. For those who serve only money and themselves this will be a sad sad day.

Because God created human beings with free will, not just mindless meat robots. This means bad people do bad things and frequently do bad things to good people. Seriously, I'm just gonna stop answering these questions. I get the feeling you're just trying to inflame the religous into a foaming case of rabies and get high-fives from all the like-minded atheist/agnostics as opposed to actually delving into the depths of a theological or philosophical debate. This has been asked ad nauseum and now I'm nauseated.

God would never kill innocent victims, His sense of justice is perfect.
1 john 5:19"...but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one" Satan is the invisible force behind all these bad things happening.
yet, God will soon destroy Satan, and humankind will be brought back to perfection on a completely restored Paradise earth. no more will there be wars, crime, or innocent victims.

Maybe he thinks its funny. Maybe our lives are all television shows. Or Maybe God is an old, severely overweight, smelly alcoholic who watches "Stupid Human F-ckups" and eats Dominoes 24/7? Maybe our puny heathenistic disgusting worthless lives are just cheap entertainment that will all end when Chubs upstairs decides to change the channel. Or maybe we should just stop worrying about superiority based deitys with insecure loyalty issues.

Sin is in the world. We chose daily the ways we will follow. God's ways or the ways of hate, greed, and envy. There are consequences to our actions which we each will be held accountable to.

I grieve for folks that have chosen Gods way and have been met by hate ...

Death has already been conquered and all those who have been wrongly killed will be resurrected. God is wanting perfect justice and he will act to stop the injustice at the perfect time for it to be accomplished. Do not give up hope. Do not dispair. Trust in the one who truly has the power to save and in his son, Jesus Christ.

Free will?

Think though, Jesus said the kingdom of heaven belongs to ones like children, and if heaven is reserved for children, imagine the condemnation that will be reserved for people who harm children.

Because if he intervened, then he would be stripping us of our free will and thus calling judgment.

Better question: Why are we killing innocent civilians?

The Creator just dropped us off.
Man created god to worship and likewise saw the need for killing to force his views on others.
