I used to eat a lot when i was upset. Usually a whole bag of chips or ice cream... or both. I know what its like to use food to relieve the stress, but it doesn't really work. Now I work out. I have a punching bag, I have weights and I have a treadmill. I find that a good 30 - 60 min workout will do a lot more to eliminate my stress than eating ever did.

Yes, and it has been my #1 problem for years. It's killing me. I guess my advice for any of us that go through this is to try to get rid of as much stress in your life as possible. One of my major stresses was the person I worked with - - - - I worked with him 5 years and I bet I gained 40 lbs. He recently moved, so now I feel like I can have better success at dieting. So I started a diet this week of using food exchanges (sort of like the old Weight Watchers system) Wish me luck!

the actuality which you suggested soreness b/w your shoulders shows the effect of stress. stress appropriate back pains start up from b/w shoulders. the actuality which you're sixteen shows the becoming soreness!!! remember the three Ss of the becoming: stress, starvation and sleep. any teen is so under pressure that they call it transitional psychosis. Any teen is often hungry and that they have got a peculiar and wonderful drowsing trend. wakeful all night in summer time and sleep till ultimately midday.

AMEN! i have the same problem. i just try to keep myself busy and away from the "munchies" (unless i bring the "munchies" with me...lol)
try drinking water- as bland and boring as that may sound, i found that it actually helps. just bring a water bottle with you where ever you go.
