I do have dark brown hair and i do understand that i would have to bleach it to have a vibrant color. i was just wondering if theres anything that lasts only 2 weeks because it's long enough to have the color, yet not long enough to drive my mother crazy at the fact that my hair bright pink. Now, if i bleach my hair and put in a semi-permenant color, would my natural hair be tainted in any way?

I highly recommend going to: http://haircrazy.info/
they have reviews on nearly all known un-natural hair colouring products. You can also buy the products off the site.
If you want one that fades out in 2 weeks, go for Fudge Paintbox as they fade the quickest (I had 'pretty flamingo' , it was gorgeous). The site has photos too so you can see what other people used and what the results were.
But you do have to belach your hair first to get the colours to work !!!!!!!!

Depending on your hair color, you can use a temporary color. You can find some at Hot Topic (where I got all my hair dyes) and like the other person said, Walmart. It's called Color Pulse or something like that, and should be ok. There ARE some things you should keep in mind though:
The lighter your natural (or current) color, the more vibrant the colors will be, the darker it is, the less vibrant. Also, if your hair IS lightened, the temporary color will stain your hair because dyed hair (especially lightened) is more porous and will hold even temporary color.
When I did my hair, I bleached sections and then dyed it blue, fuchia, green and yellow (at different times.) The thing is though, that even after I had my hair STRIPPED (yes, completely stripped of color) the blue did NOT come out, my hair was permanently dyed blue, especially on the ends.
I think you should go with a hair spray type thing if it's something you only want for a few days. It will wash out when you wash your hair, but it will show up over darker hair. Also, it could make your hair a bit sticky like hairspray would. So unless you want very little color (if your hair is dark) slightly stained hair (if your hair is light) or permanent color (which is pretty cool anyway) then I'd go with the spray.

This is definetly not a two week colour project:
when you use bleach on the hair it will permanently lighten the natural colour and to get the most vibrant pink you will have to lighten your hair to a blonde. Then the pink goes on these types of colours generally don't last longer then two weeks but do adhere more to BLEACHED hair.... So it can stick!
Also when you lighten your hair it will first go orange, don't wash it off wait till it's a bit lighter being yellow. Haircolour works just like art pink over or mixed with orange makes YUK!!!!

Check at places like Hot Topic, they have all kinds of temporary hair colors. FYI, unless your hair is blonde, it won't be bright!

As per the answerer above me. You'll probably want to bleach your hair first before you dye it again.

That's a bad idea. It does NOT wash out, even when it says that it does.... However, you can purchase it at WAL-MART, no joke.
