i need some ideas about what to talk about on instant messaging. i know... this sounds way lame. but really, we've ran out of things to say. i just need a question or two to ask. something besides the basic ones like "what's your fav food?". ya know? deep ones would be great! actually, the deeper the better. i want to get to know more about the person...

Start seeing the guy more often. I know what you mean. It happens to me, too, and then she lost interests in me, like didn't want to talk to me anymore, but was very happy to see me in person. That's what I did, visit her a lot.

Just Embellish alot on the few things that person says. If it's a guy you like ask them about their Ex. or about what they did that day.
Like... just talk to him, I'm sure he feels as at a lost for words as you are, just act like he's just like your bestfriend and talk to him/her the way you would talk them.
Just tell him/her all the little boring things your doing like maybe "I'm brushing my hair, I always feel better when I brush my hair. it's like that whole clean feeling without taking a shower." just say a little thing and go into detail.

Just start by asking him. Say tell me something I dont know about you. Then bring up things you used to do when you were little and he will just follow along. Tell him stuff you like to do and ask him if he has ever done it! Hope that helped

Don't necessarily ask questions ... talk about current events or your favorite book and why you like it ... just try and start a conversation ... something like: I read in the news yesterday that ... isn't that INSANE!? i don't know haha

ask what they like to do in their free time and joke around with it. try to ask a question insid ethe answer. lets say he likes to travel ask him to what places and lets say he says france ask him his favourite city and why and what things he did there. theres tonnes of things to talk about.
