Why don't you just buy a 2-GB capacity flash disk and install Windows XP on the disk, then boot from the flash disk and your hard-disk will be completely untouched? And also, as a plus side you don't need passwords; just plug in the drive and if there's no drive, you cannot access the computer?

because running it from a flash disk would be painfully slow ... and i do think they make a cutdown version of some operating systems to do that .... but also u would need to set the bios to boot from it anyway ... so u couldnt just go up to any pc and boot it off with it ...
