Regardless of age, volunteering is easier than you think. Contact your local Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, Lions Club, etc., and ask how you can help. If they can't put you to work, they'll be able to point you in the right direction!

SEARCH THE WEB. YOUR ANSWER IS THERE. Go to Tulsa OK/volunteer groups, for groups in that area that are needing volunteers. Do the same for Bartlesville, OK. GOOD LUCK

Usually, I recommend contacting volunteer centers through the Hands On Network or Points of Light Foundation. I haven't been able to find a local chapter in Oklahoma, so I would suggest contacting your local chapter of the United Way.

The United Way specializes in connecting volunteers with community opportunities and other non-profit organizations. They should be able to connect you with some local programs that match your interests.

You can find your local chapter at:

You can also find reference materials through Hands On Network and Points of Light Foundation at:
http://www.handsonnetwork.org/our-network/
http://www.pointsoflight.org/centers/find_center.cfm

Good luck!

Check and see if Habitat for Humanity has anything going on near you. I was able to help them build 9 houses over one summer a few years ago, and I also helped out with one of their warehouse stores, selling building supplies to needy families.

The best summer I've ever had. Good luck!
