god
The deal is that if you bow down and worship god he will save you from his wrath by letting you worship him for all eternity. If you question god he will torture you for all eternity.

From suffering. Salvation is Peace. It means saved from suffering.
The Buddhists say, Life is suffering, to end suffering, end desire. If you think about it you can understand... to be alive, you must desire it, otherwise you wouldn't bother to eat because you wouldn't desire it... to desire is to want something, meaning, you don't always have it in the moment, that is suffering... so to end suffering, one must end desire, and basically die... thus, life is suffering.
Salvation is the end of suffering. In the Christian sense, I believe this is when they believe they are accepted into Heaven because they have accepted Jesus and they have died. Something like this.
Peace.

Sin. John 8 "whoever commits sin is a slave to sin" "whoever the son sets free shall be free indeed" Jesus came to save us "from" our sins! no "in" our sins. Then by being saved from sin we are also saved from hell becasue the punishment for sin is hell. So get forgiven, Get delivered from sin, ! by Faith. Be saved! oh yeah, and then you wont go to hell.

The idea is that one devine person can save us from all of our sins. There is no proof, but this of course does not matter.

Most christians seem to believe that people are naturally born evil, and that, without the intercession of Jesus, we will go to hell.
