The arguement seems to be, Look, men carved the likenesses of people into the side of this mountain! God must have created the universe!

Er? Did I miss something? It wasn't God that carved people into the side of Mount Rushmore; it was men. I can see Mount Rushmore being evidence for the existence of men (which isn't being hotly disputed, as far as I'm aware), but how exactly do we get from there to God? All your God did was give you an unimpressive, randomly bumpy mountain face to work with.

Sorry, but it just doesn't do anything for me...

Because to creationists, PEOPLE are god's Mt. Rushmore.

I know, I know... don't try and figure it out. You'll only give yourself a headache.

While the carvings in the side of the mountain are really impressive, they do not even come close to the complexity of the human being. If the carvings did not simply appear, then why would you expect a complex organism like a human to suddenly appear out of a pile of slime. This is the general idea of the argument. The argument is strengthened by the fact that it is mathematically impossible that all of the necessities for life just coincidentally fell just right to support life. The Earth's complexity demands a creator. Just like the craven images on the face of the mountain did not come from coincidences.

Nat S, Why don't you present an argument with more depth than, creationists are ignorant. If you don't have an answer then keep mouth shut, and quit hiding behind insults.

I don't get it... I think I missed the whole arguement- how does man building mount rushmore lead to god creating everything? Is there a middle part that was abridged? Please elaborate. I've never heard this one.
