The average lifespan for a Quarter Horse is around 25. However, well cared for horses can certainly live much older. I have heard of horses living into their forties.

30, plus or minus 5 years. you'll always find a horse who dies young or really old, but 30 is very old for a quarter horse and I think most of them die between 25-30, but they can live to 35. We had one that was 32 and still carrying little kids around. He's 34 and retired now.

A general horse lives to be 20-25, though with good care they can live to be 30 or more. I once knew a little welsh the was 42 when he died!

Horses generally live into their twenties or even thirties if well-kept and healthy. It isn't too much of a breed specific thing, although I have met many quarter horses who are still being ridden in their late twenties or early thirties.

horses usually live about 20-30 years....but there are many exceptions as a friend of mine had a mare finally die at 50!! lol but it all depends on care and health...race horses tend to not live as long b/c of the stress and b/c they are more prone to accidents

I have a gelding that is 28 and going strong, I only ride him bareback anymore (semi-retired) and my dad had a qh/draft cross that got to be 32. Don't know the oldest recorded, and care in a senior horse is important.
