I went back to college when my daughter was 6 weeks old so I understand your dilemma. It shouldn't hurt to miss one class, you could contact your professors and find out what you missed and explain (via email) and be prepared for the next class. OR you can check on your campus if they have a toddler/preschool ... most usually offer "drop in's" by availability and students normally have first come on those and its quite reasonable. Good luck!

Well I am a single mom and the only thing I can do is find a before and after work program. Or arrange to take her to work (which I hate doing.. she is good. but work is simply work, not personal). Or find an emergency day home. Is their a stay at home mom that has a kid in you daughters' class?

Do you have any friends that you could work something out with - they care for your child on the days her school is closed and you could watch their child in the evening or weekends. Check with her school is if anyone there could help you.

See if there is child care at your school or ask the instructor if you could bring the little one on special days so you don't have to miss any classes.
Or ... you could postpone your schooling until your child starts school.

E-mail or call your professors, explain to them what is happening. Most of them will be understanding and work with you. You'll be okay. You can miss a FEW classes

if worse comes to worse you will have to miss your school, but i would try to find a backup babysitter for situations like this, like a responsible teen that would be out of school too, you can get by with paying them somewhat cheap normally....good luck
