the reason y they hate him is b/c they secretly like him but he won't give them the time of day.....so they come up with some stupid reason why he's sooooo "uncool". It's only to cover up their own insecurities of be jilted or being potentially jilted.

Well, you should definitely make up your own mind about who you like rather than listening to what others think. On the other hand if a couple (just a few) of your friends that you really respect and can trust, can give you good reasons why they hate him - then I would consider their thoughts. The reason I would at least consider their thoughts is that if they really care about you they will be telling you things because they want you to be happy and safe. This might include reasons like - he does drugs, he drinks all the time, or he shoplifts, or he has a reputation for getting girls to go farther than they want then dumping themk or whatever. Then make up your own mind - but always be your own person with him. Depending on your age, your parents or a cool aunt or uncle are sometimes a good source of information / support too. Don't ever let a boy (or anyone) make you do things you wouldn't naturally do or don't want to do. Good luck.

You should find out why everyone doesn't like him. Chances are its for a good reason. Do your homework on him. If you think he has an underserved reputation, then try and get to know him better. I just would go slow and make sure he's not a complete loser before I would get my hopes up.

If he likes you and you like him,if you are into dating maybe you two should date. Your friends should be happy that your happy if they were your real friends. Other people may not know him well. Just look on the bright side since everyone hates him you can have him to yourself.

Date him if you want to date him. It's not up to anyone else. I went through the same thing. It sucked *** that people put down my boyfriend in front of both of us. I hated that he saw that. But then you see who your real friends are. Your real friends don't decide what relationships you have. Just like you don't decide who they should date. I say go for it. If you like him (and not just by his looks) then ya gotta. It's all up to you! Your life!

If you like him then go for it. Are you living for you or your friends? However, if so many hate him, maybe they have a good reason, so just be careful going into it.
