make all your appointments, and then take note of them for being 20 minutes earlier. My guess would be you like to be late because you have a high opinion of yourself, and think that people should have to wait for you. Get your sh it together and get yourself organised on time.

By your picture I take it you are male, yes? which I find quite Bizarre, because being chronically late is usually the domain of the female. That isnt a sexist remark, just a commonly known fact All I can say is get over it and get off your lazy butt and get moving. I was NEVER late for anything before I got married, now whenever I'm late it is usually because I am waiting for my wife, who incidentally starts gettting ready about an hour before me and I'm usually still waiting for her when its time to go, its just a female thing usually. But in your case all I can say is maybe its some insecurity .that you need to deal with. Could be deep down you crave the attention (good or bad) that you get from other people when you arrive late and disrupt other peoples schedules. Maybe you need to get a partner who will put a rocket up ya, and get ya motivated..

This is not and never as a mental health problem.
If your going to be late try to call, and leave a message with the person your meeting.
The best solution, your car might have a watch, your computer, your cell phone, the local drug store has cheap watches also.
Being so accurate you will be labelled '' Mr. German " to " Japan " .... '' Mr. Attendance Clock " "Managers Pet" .. also known as 'fashionable to be late'

People who are chronically late are doing it for a reason. I suggest you sit down and ask yourself why you are doing this. Don't get up till you have an answer and then begin to change it. One way to do this is to set an alarm 15 minutes earlier than when you need to leave, that way you know you are down to the wire.

I have this problem also..
I think the clock idea is good also, but I would set all of them at different times, so that you wouldn't know which one was set how far back! So then you would be forced to go by the earliest one. Just don't remember which one is which. Perhaps get someone you trust to do it for you? :;-)

Don't set your own clock back because then you will know that you have those 15 mins. Have someone else change them all back, but tell them not to let you know when they do it. That way you won't know the difference.

I've had the same problem for a long time. You just have to really ask yourself, is it that you dislike showing up early?
Something that I learned in class is that when we're late and make others wait for us, we end up waiting for things to come.
For example, I planned to meet my dad for lunch one day. I was about 20 mins late, and he hates waiting for others!
Anyway we went to the restaurant and ordered our food, my dad's food was good and my plate was done all wrong, I had to wait about 20 minutes for them to bring me another plate of food. Believe it, or not. :)
