Uphill running builds your quadriceps (front of thigh). Jogging on flat surfaces or even slightly downhill works on your hamstrings (back of thigh). However, spot reducing has been proven in research to be ineffective. Overall aerobic exercise will burn fat evenly across the body.

actually sitting on said big butt will flatten it. and did i miss an issue of VOGUE, when did flat asses become "hot". is this something you are trying to achieve? btw running up hill will mess your knees up. so your striving for a limp and a fat ***...wow ..sexy time!

i guess it depends on whether your butt is muscle or fat right now -- running uphill will help strengthen your leg and butt muscles, so they will get bigger yet tighter. running will help you decrease your total body fat, so if its kinda flabby you may notice that your butt decreases in size but gets more taught; but, if you are already pretty fit then your butt will probably get a little stronger and bigger and toned from running uphill
