I think it just depends on the couple. What works for us is that I am the strong decision maker and head of the household, whereas my wife manages the small details within the household.

I prefer a submissive wife without question. There is no need to have two dominant, masculine roles in the house hould. The man should be masculine just as the woman should be feminine. Marriage is at an all time low because men want to be men and women want to be men. The result is conflict. I understand there are still a few real woman out there that dont mind taking the man's last name and being a real woman to that man. A man needs a submissive wife because all things he needs from a woman he should get from his wife. Whatever void is created by the wife's bull headedness, weak husbands will seek to fulfill outside of the relationship. Strong husbands with moral values will not cheat but will be forever bitter and the marraige will suffer.

This would really depend on her. If she was really intellegent and made sound judgements on major decisions then life would be equal. If she was not as intellegent....well then I would listen to her to a point then make the decison either way.
Example....wife wanted to move into a house with a rent of $900. Well that was $300 more than what we were pay at the apartment which we could barely afford that (poor times back then). Well she said that she would get a job to get the house. I said that that would be good but she wanted the house before she got the job. So I had to make her mad and say no to the whole thing. We had 5 kids between us and I was more worried about them and she was more worried about how good she looked by living in a house. Needless to say we are divorced now. She remarried and did the same thing to him. They moved into a $1200 rent house.....what was she thinking. They were out of there in 2 months and never paid the rent. I dont know what all this has to do with the question...but I guess it just depends on her.

I think the combo is the best way to go, according to the situation, of course. If it's over stupid inane useless stuff like when to cut the grass, i think submissive is the way to go. But if it's over something big, like, i dunno, buying a home, a strong wife makes sure her man can see the whole picture. Pick your spots, but the always strong minded wife makes her man a miseral creature. Screw tradition, practicality wins out.

I prefer both. But she must know when to use them, her submissiveness and strong mind to her and my advantage. Nothing wrong with being too traditional as long as she can bring those values up a few notches in our modern day to suit daily challenges.

Um I am going to say balance is the key. Anyone who say completely submissive is obviously saying this for selfish reasons that will benefit their own ulterior motives. And being too strong minded can lead to problems. People let's be for real!

if she's too submissive then she wont be bold enough to correct u when u're wrong, which sucks cos u won't be right all the time, on the other hand if she's too strong minded, wata bitc h ......a lil in between.

My wife is strong minded, strong willed, independent and smart. I admire these thing in her as they are her strengths. Yet, we are partners in all that we do. Every decision is made as a team. That's the way it should be.
