I'm sorry this was not meant for though's who've actually read the Bible, I'm greatful for your answer's. I was focusing on people who haven't read the Bible. I get a lot of question's from non-believers

Yes, I have read the Bible several times, and continue to read. But it seems that every time I ask a question, people act like I'm just trying to be a big skeptic, and they will say, "Just go read it" as if I have not read it. I get irritated at this, because I have sincere questions based on what I read, and few people want to take the time to answer, because they assume I'll know all the answers upon reading - but that's just not the case!

I've read it, and also discussed it with many Christians, and the overwhelming conclusion I've come to is that the only reason it was written was to reinforce the social control system the people in that day exerted over the populous. It's almost perfect in that regard.
As for proof of god, you might as well use it to line a bird cage.

I have read it before. However, I think I was doing that thing where you zone out and keep re-reading paragraphs over and over again, because you have no idea what the main idea is. Apparently, I missed some important things. That's why I ask questions on here.

Read it cover to cover over 20 times, in three translations, and taken multiple college level Bible study courses from Roman Catholic, Baptist, and Methodist points of view.
Why do you think I'm an atheist?

I don't look to the Bible for the answers I seek. None of the answers I seek are especially spiritual in nature.

I would say the percentage of people who have spent at least 1 hour in Bible study is about 3% MAYBE, a big MAYBE!
