What am I doing wrong?

I really like this girl, and I can tell that she likes me, but nothing seems to be happening. I think she's shy, but I'm pretty sure I got through that I'm interested. I give her my number, but she doesn't call, I ask her if she wants to hang out, she says she has other things to do. I've never had a girlfriend before, and I had no one to teach me the "birds and the bees" so I'm really not well-versed in the matter of girls. What do I do?

I would think she wasn't interested if she didn't ALWAYS sit next to me in class, or stare daggers when she sees me talking to another girl
how do i let her know she can be comfortable with me?

Mkay.. this is what you do. And it depends on how sure you are if she likes you. If your very sure she likes you but for some reason keeps turning you down then tell her u like her. Say it like this "you know theres really something special about you that i like alot. Its a shame we dont get to spend more time together..." and leave it at that and then ask her if she still has ur phone number and if she says "yes" then tell her to "give me a call when u get the chance and maybe we can hang out"

I think you need to just bite the bullet and ask her out on a date. She will say yes or no and you will have your answer as to whether or not she is interested. Asking her to "hang out" is too vague. Make it clear you are interested and let her know what you want - a date, a relationship, whatever.

You aren't doing anything wrong, she's not interested. You gave her your number and she doesn't call. You ask her out and she has something else to do. Take the hint, dude, she's not interested.
