Why is it that whenever a Protestant doesn't want to believe something that is plainly stated in the inspired Word of God, they fall back on the lame excuse, "it was translated wrong"? It wasn't translated wrong. Jesus changed the water into WINE, not grape juice. That's what they drank at a Jewish wedding. They still do. Read the passage. The chief steward, after tasting the water made WINE, said "usually the choice WINE is served first, and after the guests have drunk a while, a lesser vintage, but you have saved the best WINE until now". Why do suppose the best wine was served first? Simple. Because after the guests have drunk a while they are too sloshed to notice when a lesser vintage is served, because they are drinking WINE. If you don't want to drink wine, by all means don't drink it, but please don't rewrite the Word of God. Jesus drank WINE, as did the apostles and everyone else of the time. It was the standard drink at every meal, not just on special occasions.

I bet that he did drink the wine that he made. He also drank wine and ate a feast with Matthew before he became one of his disiples. They often called Jesus a glutton and a wine bibber because he did indeed indulge in these things

Luke 7:34
The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!

a note to knighteyre if the wine was not fermented there would be no reason to call Jesus a winebibber.

Although He made the gallons of wine from the gallons of water placed into the holding jugs, there is no record that He drank the wine He made. Chances are, He did ! He [Jesus] was called a "wine bibber" by His adversaries the Pharisees (Jewish leaders of the time, who didn't like the threat posed to their comfortable position in the Jewish society ), who were out to both, character assassinate Him, as well as, plotting to murder Him.

P.S. Wine in the Bible was wine - not grape juice. Original Greek translation renders the word Wine as "winos" meaning wine - the alcoholic beverage. Could you imagine Jesus placing grape juice out for the wedding guests to drink, at a Jewish Wedding where wine was the main stay for celebration ?

The scriptures do not elaborate whether he did or not but I would think he might have. The wine spoken of in the scriptures would in actuality be fruit juice!
