We are planning ourselves and are being very meticulous so we will not hopefully miss too much but we know if will be crazy at the last minute (Wedding is in the same hotel as reception and we will have approx 200 guests)....How much should we expect tp pay this person for labor per day for two to four days? How do they normally get paid? I know any expenses will be extra of course. Thanks!

Depends on the planner, I would say about $400-500. Some planners offer packages just for the day of, or the day of + bridal shower + rehersal and rehersal dinner. Check around your area.

i'm in Australia and that i'm guessing uk customs are nearer to ours than to the u . s .. i did no longer hire a planner nor did i ought to. via some distance the biggest rate grow to be the reception. The photographer and style dressmaker have been human beings we knew (so no wedding ceremony planner would have been waiting to compete on cost), and all the different expenses have been rather small in assessment. There are some American issues that are no longer worry-unfastened right here (practice consultation dinners, bridesmaids' lunch/breakfast and DJs spring to strategies - certainly we have not got something yet a marriage and a reception, with hens'/greenbacks' nights no longer organised via the couple besides) which makes for much less making plans to do.

It does depend on how they charge. Some charge by the hour. They give you an estimate as to how many hours they thin they will spend between those 4 days. Some charge package prices.

I agree you need to check around in your area.
