No! Just paint the walls a new color and get yourself a few new accents like drapes or pillows and you'll see a big improvement. Try places like Target, Walmart or Kmart for some great, cheap deals. I am constantly surprised at the cute home interior stuff they come out with.

I did my living room for about $300 it nice like Pottery Barn style, I got alot of my from craigslist and freecyle, also used Opps paint from home depot they are only $5 a gallon.

A few gallons of paint, a few new cushions, rearrange the furniture and you can have a new look in a few hours/or days for very little $s.
