Am I too young to date? :)?

Question

I'm 14 and will be 15 in a few months(if that helps with the decision). I generally like boys alot but I don't let it affect my work :)
My best friend has an interest in me and I him.But i'mscared to do something because my mom thinks i'm too young. What do ya'll think?

Only you know if you're really ready for a close one on one relationship. BUT, I'd warn it's best NOT to do that with your best friend. It is likely to ruin your friendship and that's more important than a first relationship. Besides, wouldn't you like to have your best friend to talk to when you have your first relationship. Casually dating him "might" work if you both have the same idea in mind before hand - that you just want to try dating and get comfortable with it without getting in too deep. It could work and allow you to maintain your friendship. You should talk about it first though so no one gets hurt because that's what can kill the friendship. Friends are harder to come by than boyfriends! Take it slow. You will NOT regret it!

At your age group 'dating' would be okay, in a public place...one-on-one dating should wait until at least age 16

well i think its ok as long as you dont say your in real love because alot of people go around saying their in love with the right person when their really not so go ahead and date this guy but dont just say you are really in love with him becuase kids and teens like you and me dont know what real love is until we get older
