When I cut my toe nails I always smell a bad odor. Its not overly strong, but I would NOT call it pleasant, I didn't know what it was until I smelled my toe nail clipping,
(I know it sounds nasty but i had to do it.) I then realized the smell was coming from my toe nails! Also my toenails have been peeling and my toenails can some times be thick, key word being sometimes. I do not have any discoloration of the toenails. Im young, like teenager young , and I don't play any sports. Is it possible that have a fungus, can I even get foot fungus at this age? If so does anyone know what it is, and how can I treat it?

You would be amazed at the things people smell coming off their own bodies. That's nothing to be ashamed of and its very common.

You can get athlete's foot at that age. I have never played sports in my life and I get that from time to time. However, I would recommend that you clean it whenever you get the opportunity. After school since you are a teenager, then leave it uncovered. You can also try using a medicated foot powder. It may not take away the Odor permanently, but at least it will help. Lamasil, Tenactin, or Gold Bond. Try looking these products up online and in your local drug store. They have been known to help with such issues. Hope this helps.

You have toe nail fungus. Lots of people have it. Unfortunately, there really isn't much that can be done about it. Just keep your feet really clean. The medicine they do have, has been known to cause liver damage, and it takes a long time for it to have any effect. The topical stuff that you put on top of your nails, doesn't really do much either. You can try altering your diet, but other than that, there really isn't much to do.

Use a nail file to clean under your toenails every day. That should do it.
