If you're really upset over anything....liquor's not going to be the remedy

In FACT I HIGHLY recommend you DON'T drink at that time

I once read somewhere that there's a thin line between drinking to lift your mood and drinking when actually DEPRESSED.

The article I was reading was actually saying that, while it's perfectly okay to go out for a drink when you're feeling a little down, drinking while in an unstable state of mind is very dangerous. People who drink when they're feeling suicidal are more prone to actually going through with it. And, like my husband when we first met and he was drinking himself retarded every night while very depressed, it also makes a person very prone to drunk-dialing and alienating people who care about them with endless sob-stories and suicidal innuendos (and sometimes threats).

If you were my friend and were personally asking me this question in relation to you, I'd say that if you're feeling EXTREMELY down in the dumps, drinking is probably not the best idea. I'd invite you over for some herbal tea and a funny movie. :)

Usually makes you feel better, get a little buzz and forget about what's upsetting you, in fact I'm a little buzzed right now.....although, if you're upset about something, alcohol might make you forget for a little while, but it won't change what's upsetting you.

It makes me feel better, or not care as much anyway. I've heard it can make you feel worse though.
